Each year, SPRF awards a $1,000 scholarship to a full-time student who demonstrates academic excellence, leadership potential and a passion for the public relations field. Many SPRF chapters also offer additional local scholarships—reach out to your chapter leaders to learn more.

Submit your best class projects, campaigns or pro-bono work to the SPRF Lantern Awards—our region’s top public relations awards program honoring the best strategic minds in the south. Student entries receive valuable feedback from professional judges and a chance to gain regional recognition.

SPRF Conference Internship Program
Each year, SPRF selects interns to support the annual conference through roles in event planning, content creation, social media, and strategic communication.
Certificate in Principles of Public Relations
SPRF offers support for students pursuing this entry-level certificate that helps new professionals stand out to future employers. The Certificate in Principles of Public Relations is awarded by the Universal Accreditation Board and demonstrates foundational PR knowledge and commitment to the field.
SPRF Student Challenge
Showcase your strategic thinking and communication skills in SPRF’s annual Student Challenge. Fast-paced, hands-on, and rooted in real-world learning, this challenge gives student teams the space to showcase their skills, build their portfolios, and represent their university on a regional level.
