Each year, SPRF member organizations (ECPRO, PRAL, PRAM, and PRCA) are invited to nominate one outstanding public relations professional for the SPRF Professional Achievement Award, formerly known as the Practitioner of the Year. The recipient of this award is announced at the SPRF annual conference. SPRF established this award to recognize an individual that has continually demonstrated the highest ideals of the profession as well as a commitment to advance the profession of public relations.

2014 Recipient Robin Street, APR, is in her 24th year of teaching at the University of Mississippi, where she champions ethical behavior and diversity. As a counselor, she has nurtured and mentored hundreds of students, even long after graduation. As a journalist, she has published in multiple magazines, newspapers and public relations publications. As a public relations professional, her works have won a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence, along with Best in Show in both the PRAM Prism awards and SPRF Lanterns. Today, she coordinates the public relations sequence at the Ole Miss.
She has revamped and energized the public relations sequence at Ole Miss. Her classes fill up quickly and have a long waiting list. She is also a freelance PR professional and journalist specializing in mental health, fitness and health topics.
She is a founding member of the PRAM Oxford/Ole Miss chapter and has won numerous PRAM and SPRF awards.
Street graduated with two Master's degrees from Ole Miss, a M.A. in Journalism and M.S. in Wellness.
