Sherry Harlow, APR

Sherry Harlow, APR, is a true leader and a person you can count on to get a job done. In 1992, she was a founding member of the Emerald Coast Public Relations Organization and has since served in many roles for that organization over the past 19 years.

Harlow has served as the Marketing Director of Eglin Federal Credit Union for 33 years. She is highly respected for her service and was recently honored with a state award in Florida by the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. In 2010, her name was added to the Okaloosa County Women’s Wall of Honor at a ceremony honoring “Outstanding Women in the Community.”

Through her community service, Harlow helped the Okaloosa Saves Program rank number seven out of 62 in the national 2011 America Saves Campaign. She served on the Okaloosa Saves Coalition Board and volunteered countless hours developing bylaws for the nonprofit organization, fundraising, staffing exhibits, participating in the educational 4-H Money Adventures and attending the National Savings Forum in Washington, D.C. Harlow is an advocate for the Teach Children to Save Project that encouraged 845 youth to deposit $95,000 into savings accounts since 2009.

She has been a member of the Florida Public Relations Association since 1985 and worked with panels and focus groups for the Universal Accreditation Board in preparing questions for the exam for Accredited Public Relations that is now in effect in all nine UAB member organizations.
