JOB OPENING: Entergy Seeks Communications Manager in Baton Rouge

Entergy Corporation seeks a Communications Manager in its Baton Rouge, La., location. This position is responsible for developing and directing all internal and external communications for Entergy Louisiana/Entergy Gulf States, including advertising, media relations, employee communications, public relations, and community relations programs. Duties include:
• Provide strategic communications counsel to management executives.
• Act as company spokesperson when appropriate.
• Write news releases, speeches, talking points and briefing papers for top management and field customer service managers.
• Plan, coordinate and implement special events and projects.
• Work with department members in driving results for integrated marketing plans and perform additional duties as assigned by the director.

Qualifications:
• Must have a 4 year college degree in journalism, public relations or related field.
• At least eight years of communications work experience, corporate experience preferred.
• Management/leadership skills.
• Must be able to handle a high degree of stress and be on call 24 hours a day.
